UPDATE: I recently obtained a much better production quote and as a result the price per extension has dropped from $7 to $3.5!
Welcome to my PT 709 Pinky Extension store. I know the site is little plain, but it works (hopefully) and I figure functionality first, style later. The product is simply a magazine extension for the Taurus PT 709 that allows you to get your pinky comfortably on the grip. The catch is I don't have any to sell yet. What I do have is a design and prototype (more about that on the info page). In order to produce these at a reasonable cost, I have to get them made by an injection molding process. That requires tooling. The tooling is much too expensive for me to afford up front so my hope is that people will be willing to pay up front for the first run to get things going. I know it's a little crazy, so I've tried to mitigate some of the problems. First, I'll post plenty of pictures so you know both the design and prototype are real. Second, I'll keep this site as up to date as possible so you know whats going. Third, I'm going to do payments through PayPal. The two big reasons for this are that you'll be able to get your money back if I disappear (though I promise I won't) and you'll get some of my personal info as part of the invoice. Hopefully that'll make a me a little easier to trust. As far as using this site goes, I've tried to keep it simple. The info page explains the development of the extension and includes pics of both the design and prototype. The progress page details the progress towards having a complete order (ie 1000 pieces). And finally the order page is where you can order an extension. Or several extensions. Also potentially of interest are two topics on taurusarmed.net. This one is about the prototype, and this one contains a poll about the price. I try to check up on those forums pretty regularly, so feel free to leave feedback there in addition to or in lieu of sending me feedback on through the contact page on this site.
